Charismatic Cupcake

Are your cupcakes as flat as a pancake? Or go out of business? There are a million things that can go wrong when baking cupcakes; the latest trend in home baking. Baking the perfect cake is not an impossible task, but it is also not easy. In fact, baking a “perfect” cupcake is an ideology that doesn’t really exist. I mean, what is “perfection,” right? But there are a few basic rules you must follow in order to end up with a cupcake sponge that looks as good as it tastes, which is why we’ve put together our five basic tips to make your cupcakes cook as good as possible pleasure!

  1. Libra is your friend

Yes, it’s true; the scales are really your friend. Well, at least in the kitchen. Measure out all the ingredients before mixing the muffin dough, and never try to “fill up” any missing ingredients.

Experimenting with flavors is great! Experimenting with baking soda as a baking powder substitute is not worth it.

  1. Out-striker is a bad striker

When you taste the muffin mix, your muffins will either be hard or just won’t rise in the middle, and you can’t do anything with a muffin that won’t rise!

  1. The right temperature at the right time

If your recipe has an oven temperature of 220 degrees, make sure it is heated to 220 degrees! If the oven is too hot, the biscuits may bump in the middle and rise faster than they cook. If it’s too cold in the oven, the pies just won’t cook. But always, ALWAYS remove the cakes from the oven at the right time. Even if you think they look a little undercooked, the cake will still “cook” for a while as it cools when it comes out of the oven, so trust the recipe and buy these delights!

  1. Great, great!

Once the muffins are out of the oven, remove them from the tins and place them on a wire rack to cool on all sides. This is very important as the pans can stay hot for some time after they are removed from the oven and this can lead to one of two cupcake disasters; Refried cakes or peeled muffin tins. When the muffins are left in the pan after removing them from the oven, the heat from the pan continues to cook the cake. The heat inside each muffin removed from the pan is enough to “finish” the muffin to perfection. Additionally, moisture can accumulate between the cupcake and the cupcake box if left in the pan, causing it to flake off. Not a very good view!

  1. Eat warm

Okay, not exactly a tip for the perfect cupcake sg, but definitely for the perfect gift! So when you set the cupcakes aside to cool, take time to enjoy one at its best; fresh and warm right out of the oven.
